About Me

I have several attempts to write about my Montessori journey.  Many, many attempts.  Now that things have finally settled in my mind and priorities have been set... I am again, trying to attempt to write.

I have finished my Early Childhood (2.5 - 6 years old) Montessori Training.  My third.  I took NAMC 3-6 Online Training, then KHT (another online Training) and now finished my American Montessori Society Accredited Teacher's Training in Dallas.

I intend to have this blog be opened to the public not only to parents whose child attends in my school.  This will allow me to document my journey as a directress, guide, mom and anything else that comes along with it.

As I am writing this opening blog, I can hear my three children giggling in the other room.  Music to my ears. They are the reason why I do what I do now.  I have changed career from IT to education because of them.  I remembered when I was searching for the right Montessori school for them and when I found one, I realized that not all schools that carry the word Montessori are authentic.  I homeschooled my eldest using Montessori and therefore, I have quite a few knowledge about Montessori and how the philosophy works.  The more I read about Montessori, the more I clamor for a better alternative for my children.

Hence, with a  once in a lifetime opportunity landing on my lap, I started a Montessori school in Round Rock Texas.  Little did I know that it will not only change the children I would serve in the school but will change my whole family (yes, including my husband) who now joined me in this journey.  I have been working as a lead for more than three years now.  All my three children have attended my class which is a joy to see them every day transformed by the beauty of Montessori.

I was born and raised in the Philippines (Manila) and been blessed to live in the US with my three bundles of joy (JP, JC, JL). Couldn't do it without my partner, my soulmate and my best friend, P.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to see you here more often and find this space a blessing to you and your family.

Peace, Love and Joy,
Lei
